Deja Vu(below) winning at Musselburgh

Saturday 27 Aug 2005.

Members of the Bohemian Brook and Deja Vu partnerships visited the Howard Johnson yard on Sunday 31 July. We watched both horses canter up the all weather gallop along with plenty of the other stars like Akilak and No Refuge. Both of our horses seem very well and Deja Vu should be ready to run in about a month, BB a little longer. Pictures are on the horse page.

Sunday 31 July.

Members of the Haut de Gamme, Clemax and Nine de Sivola partnerships visited the Ferdy Murphy yard on Sunday 31 July. In glorious sunshine we watched all three horses  canter up the all weather gallop and then pose beautifully for photographs. They all seem very well , with the two youngsters building muscle nicely. Old Haut de Gamme looked a real pro as ever and hardly raised an eyebrow as around 25 people buzzed around him! After a tour of the yard, the partners adjourned to the nearby Wensleydale Heifer for complimentary sandwiches and coffee. One or two had something a little stronger and began to plan the new season..."What date is that first Cheltenham meeting?!"

Pictures are on the individual horse pages and below you can see HdG, Clemax and Has Scored returning from the canter. (Sivola is hiding behind Haut de Gamme!).  I

                     July 05

The horses are starting to come back in now and it has been a great summer for them. Plenty of sun (and rain!) has provided good grass cover and they have all summered well. Haut De Gamme will be aimed at the Becher Chase at Aintree and we note that Stan James have him at 50/1 for the Grand National! That is a very short price. Deja Vu will be going novice chasing whilst Has Scored will be looking for good staying handicap chases. Bohemian Brook has summered particularly well and will go novice hurdling. That will also be the route for our two new horses, Clemax and Nine de Sivola. No shares remain in Clemax but we do have availability in Nine de Sivola.

See our fantastic record below - 71% of our runners have won or been placed!

Around 25 members of the Ferdy Murphy Racing Club had a super morning at Ferdy Murphy's yard on Saturday June 11th..A full report and pictures on the racing club page.

New pictures of BOHEMIAN BROOK in horses section. Pictures are from the stable visit on 30 April when partners not only saw Bohemian, but also Inglis Drever, Grey Abbey, Arcalis, No Refuge, Percussionist and Coat of Honour amongst others. Shares still available in Bohemian Brook

.08 April Haut De Gamme was second in the Topham Trophy Chase at Aintree (25/1)!! He jumped brilliantly and was given another fantastic and patient ride by Keith Mercer. With the ground drying out fast, he didn't get his ideal conditions but excelled around the famous Grand National fences and was an unlucky one length 2nd to 50/1 winner Cregg House. All partners were there to see the climax to an absolutely fabulous season for this brave horse (more pics on Haut De Gamme Page)

Great pictures of Haut de Gamme at Aintree are available from www.grossickracing.co.uk

15 March Deja Vu ran very well today to finish 3rd at Sedgefield. He just probably needs a little help from the handicapper now, having been raised a total of 27lb since his first win.

11 March

Has Scored ran a good race at Ayr today. In first time handicap company he finished 4th beaten about 10 lengths but would have finished much closer but for being badly hampered 3 out. He stayed on well and looks exciting for staying chasers in the future.

06 March

HAUT DE GAMME WON AT KELSO YESTERDAY !!

Given another fantastic ride by Keith Mercer, Haut De Gamme beat a strong field, including odds on favourite Strong Resolve. The Racing Post sum it up nicely;

"Haut de Gamme now heads for the Topham Trophy at Aintree after he scored a convincing win over National hope Strong Resolve in the two-and-three-quarter mile handicap chase.

Ridden from off the pace by Keith Mercer, he travelled well and came through on the bridle after the last before being pushed clear to score by three and a half lengths. “He jumps for fun, and won a stack of cross-country when he was trained in France, so the race should be ideal for him,” said his trainer Ferdy Murphy.

Lots of partners were there to see and collected a huge trophy as well as a nice prize for this class C race. Well done to all!

19 Feb 2005  Uttoxeter

Haut De Gamme was unlucky in the 2m6f £50K Singer and Friedlander at Uttoxeter today. Going well and making a move forward, he ran into the back of Be My Royal who had made a bad mistake. Pulled up once his chance was gone, there will be other days for Haut De Gamme. Next target is the 2m5f Topham Chase at Aintree over the National fences.

04 Feb 2005 Kelso

Haut De Gamme ran an absolute blinder to finish 3rd at 16/1 in the class C handicap chase. He was giving away lumps of weight to the first two and finished clear of the rest. His jumping was a pure joy to watch.

WETHERBY 26 Jan 2005

Deja Vu was disappointing. He never got going in his race and perhaps the tacky ground and the huge weight burden told in the end. He has won 3 of his last 6 starts and he'll be back!

WINNERS GALORE!!

David Parry Racing horses enjoyed a fantastic New Year Weekend!!

DEJA VU WON (31 Dec) at Sedgefield in magnificent style by 7 lengths, his second successive victory in the space of three weeks!  Given a peach of a ride by Tony Dobbin he jumped to the front two out and stayed on resolutely to win easily. Lots of partners there to celebrate New Years Eve in style (pictures opposite and on the Deja Vu page)

Not to be outdone, HAS SCORED WON at Catterick on New Years Day. Jumping superbly , he was looked after by Tom Dreaper and won easily by 9 lengths. He really did look fantastic but had the ground/trip and sharp track against him. A fantastic day enjoyed by a great many of the partners and their friends and relations!

28th Dec 04

Haut de Gamme ran very well to finish 3rd in a good, competitive race at Chepstow. Partners enjoyed the day and at 14/1, Gammy paid out nicely each way! He seems to run well fresh and will be given a few weeks off now.

NEWCASTLE NEWS

HAS SCORED ran really well again to finish 4th. Jumping well and with plenty of improvement still to come, this was a very encouraging run. Tom Dreaper felt that the horse would benefit from softer ground but that he had acquitted himself well and run on well at the end. The horse will be winning soon but a place on only his 3rd start is fantastic. 8 of the Has Scored partners were there to see him and there are pictures on this page and also on Has Scored page.

HAUT DE GAMME was very unfortunate in the 2m4f handicap chase at Newcastle  on Saturday 18th Dec. Keith Mercer said that he had a double handful when coming to challenge but the horse overjumped and stumbled badly on landing. Keith lost an iron and by the time the pair had recovered, the chance was gone. He travelled well and looked back to himself so the partners are will have a chance see him hopefully win again over Xmas.

7 Dec 04

DEJA VU  won his race  at sedgefield!!

He went off a very strong 11/8 favourite in this 2m5f hurdle race. Those odds looked generous as he easily landed the race by 8 lengths eased down a little. He jumped very economically and traveled well throughout. He went to the front 2 out and eased away from the pack between the last two hurdles. A very exciting day for the partners!! Pictures on the Deja Vu page and also opposite.

HAS SCORED   ran  in the 3m3f Maiden Chase at Sedgefield (Dec 7th) . He jumped well and traveled ok to finish 6th on ground that would have been too fast for him. Ferdy and Brian Harding were both pleased with his showing. What a joy to have him back on the track and one to keep on the right side in staying novice chases on soft ground. He'll strip much fitter next time.

04 Dec 04

HAUT DE GAMME  ran a rather flat race today at Chepstow. The hoped for heavy ground never materialised. He jumped well enough but didn't enjoy the tacky going. After a win and two 4th places from 4 runs, he was entitled to an off day and he had one. He'll be back!

28 Nov 04

Members of the two new partnerships visited Howard Johnsons and Ferdy Murphys yard over this weekend. The Bohemian Brook partners were able to see just how well the horse is coming on (pictured left & on the Horses page). He is a fabulous looking horse, very calm and doing everything well. We have very high hopes for him.

Spiders Web is also pictured left and visitors to Ferdys yard on Sunday were able to see this lovely grey work along with our other horses Has Scored and Haut De Gamme. Ferdy also managed to tip plenty of the partners onto Garde Bien (won at evens) and Ulusaba (won at 8/1)!!

  12 Nov 04 CHELTENHAM REPORT

Haut De Gamme ran a fantastic race today, finishing fourth at Cheltenham. Once again given a fabulous ride by Keith Mercer he came to challenge three out but his stamina just gave out on Cheltenhams steep hill. A fabulous day for the partners who enjoyed the thrill of Cheltenham as owners. What a day! What a week...

09 Nov 94

Deja Vu (running from 4lb out of handicap) finished a very respectable 5th on his seasonal re-appearance. Going to two out, Graeme Lee eased him into the lead but the lack of a recent run then told. He finished 5th beaten only 10 lengths and he will strip much fitter next time. There was plenty of support in the market for him...but it wasn't our money!

08 Nov 04

DEJA VU runs tomorrow in the feature race at Sedgefield, a 2m5f handicap hurdle. He is 4lb out of the handicap and running against vastly more experienced horses. However, we know that he will be trying his heart out as always!

07 Nov 2004

HAUT DE GAMME(5/1) WON IN FINE STYLE AT AYR (Sat 6 Nov) GIVING HIS PARTNERS A HUGE THRILL!!

MORE PICTURES SOON!

Gammy is entered in the Sporting Index Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham on Fri 12 Nov....decision on whether he runs later...

23 September 04

Haut de Gamme ran well for a long way at Listowel but was pulled up after being hampered 4 out. He sustained a nasty gash but should  recover quickly. He had jumped well and looked to be creeping into a position to contest  the minor placings when he met trouble. Paul was pleased with the performance to that point and there will most certainly be other big days for Haut de Gamme. Eight partners enjoyed the Kerry Hospitality! Pictures on the HdeG page soon.

21 September 04

Haut de Gamme runs tomorrow in the  £60K Guinness Kerry National.

He has a nice weight, ground suits and he is well. Strong race but 33/1 is not a bad price. Eight of the twelve partners will be there to cheer him on so lets hope that he does himself justice!!!

04 September 04

Haut de Gamme ran very well at Stratford today. On ground faster than ideal for him and in a fast run race, he jumped superbly and caught the eye when coming from last to challenge going to three out. A mistake at that fence ended his chance but he completed safely in 4th place.

14 August 2004

Members of the Has Scored partnership and the Haut de Gamme partnership visited Ferdy Murphys yard to see both horses work. As usual Ferdy was very welcoming and as well as our own horses we all saw the rest of the yard including newcomers Europa, Supreme Developer and Moonlit Harbour.

The partners enjoyed a good lunch at The Wensleydale Heifer where Ferdy joined us to discuss plans. After lunch we made the short trip to Ripon for an afternoons racing ..with mixed results on the betting front!
